Tara Films is a production company helmed by BIFA winning, Emmy and PGA nominated filmmakers @kathrynferguson and @eleanor_emptage The company’s first venture began in 2018 with their debut project Nothing Compares - a documentary about the artist Sinéad O’Connor. Nothing Compares premiered at @sundanceorg (World Cinema Documentary Competition) in January 2022 to critical acclaim, and went on to win multiple international awards. In 2024, we are thrilled to unveil a new slate of non-fiction and drama projects, starting with Blue Road - The Edna O’Brien Story, which Tara Co-Produced with support from the UK Global Screen Fund. The film is directed by @sineadeoshea and will premiere at @tiff_net this weekend.
